For Spazzolplastica, sustainability means a tangible commitment to the environment, people, and the way we operate and make decisions.
With the publication in the Official Journal of the European Union of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 December 2024, known as the PPWR – Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, the regulatory landscape for those who manufacture, distribute and use welding wire is changing fundamentally.
Unlike previous directives, the PPWR is a European regulation directly applicable in all Member States from 12 August 2026. As highlighted by the implementation guidelines issued by CONAI, the Italian National Packaging Consortium, and the European Commission, the new legal framework introduces binding standards covering the entire life cycle of industrial packaging, turning ecodesign from a voluntary choice into a requirement for access to the single market.
For us at Spazzolplastica, the answer is already yes. Our industrial vision anticipated this transition: we are not adapting our products today, because our range was designed from the outset around recyclability and reusability.

ISO 14001 demonstrates the company’s strong environmental responsibility by ensuring that every stage of production meets strict environmental standards, from raw material selection to product disposal, supporting manufacturing practices that protect the environment.
ISO 50001 highlights the effectiveness of the company’s ongoing improvements in energy efficiency through the installation of photovoltaic systems and the optimisation of production processes to reduce energy consumption.
ISO 9001 is an international standard for quality management within an organisation. It defines the requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring that business processes are efficient, controlled and focused on customer satisfaction.
